Senken has entered a multi-year agreement with Lufthansa Group to provide tech- and nature-based carbon removal solutions. The deal involves projects across three continents: Direct Air Capture in Canada, industrial biochar in Bolivia, and regenerative agriculture in Germany. This aligns with Lufthansa's strategy to expand its climate portfolio, now featuring 20% permanent carbon removal.

Lufthansa is shifting its focus to permanent carbon removal methods, reducing reliance on avoidance credits. The group's 14-project portfolio saw customer contributions exceed 710,000 tonnes of CO₂ in 2025, reflecting a 20% increase year-on-year.

Senken's Sustainability Integrity Index ensures high-quality carbon credits, with only 5% passing its rigorous assessment. The partnership highlights Lufthansa’s commitment to transparent and effective climate action.
