Settlement Reached in Lightspeed Securities Class Action Case
A settlement has been approved in the class action lawsuit against Lightspeed Commerce Inc. and its affiliates. The case, initiated by plaintiffs alleging misrepresentation of financial facts, involved Lightspeed directors, officers, and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. The Superior Court of Québec approved the settlement on November 25, 2025, without any admission of liability by the defendants, who deny any wrongdoing.
Under the settlement terms, the defendants will pay CDN $11 million. Class Counsel Fees will account for one third of this amount. The remaining settlement will be distributed among Class Members, who bought Lightspeed securities between March 7, 2019, and November 3, 2021. Affected individuals must submit a completed Claim Form by March 4, 2026, to receive compensation.
Concilia Services Inc. has been appointed to administer this settlement, managing claim forms and distributing the funds to eligible Class Members. More details and necessary documents are available on the designated settlement website.
