SGL Carbon Sells Former Moses Lake Carbon Fiber Facility
SGL Carbon SE has announced the sale of its former Carbon Fiber facility in Moses Lake, USA. This marks a continuation of the company's restructuring efforts, which included ceasing carbon fiber production at the site in August 2025. SGL Technologies LLC, a subsidiary of SGL Carbon SE, signed an agreement to sell the facility to Refactor Moses Lake LLC. The transaction is valued at USD 70 million, with payments spread over 2026 and 2027.
The sale encompasses land, buildings, and equipment valued at approximately USD 24 million. SGL Carbon expects a disposal gain of about USD 46 million for the current fiscal year. This transaction will boost the company's free cash flow forecast for 2026, although it will not impact the overall sales and earnings projection for the year.
