Sharjah Media City Partners with Origo Studios to Enhance Production Hub
Sharjah Media City (Shams) and Origo Studios have formalized a strategic partnership at MIPCOM Cannes. This collaboration aims to enhance the Shams Production Hub in Sharjah, UAE. Origo Studios, a prominent Hungarian film studio, will implement a three-phase training program for Shams. This will include online and hands-on sessions in Budapest and Sharjah. The training covers various areas such as studio operations, art management, and sustainable practices.
The Shams Production Hub will feature five sound stages, each 1,710 square meters, with its first phase set for early 2027. This partnership strengthens the business ties between Hungary and Sharjah, with Shams hosting 67 Hungarian businesses, 31 of which operate in media. Rashid Abdalla Al Obad of Shams and Márta Fekszi Horváth of Origo emphasize the importance of this partnership in building a globally connected media ecosystem.
