Skyborn Secures Major Contracts for Gennaker Offshore Wind Farm
Skyborn Renewables has finalized agreements with major contractors for the Gennaker offshore wind farm, anticipated to enhance Germany's renewables by up to 976.5 MW. The contracts cover monopile foundations by EEW Special Pipe Construction GmbH, transition pieces by Dajin Heavy Industry, and foundation logistics by Seaway7. Cable supply and installation are assigned to Boskalis and TKF consortium. These partnerships ensure robust local employment in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, reinforcing Skyborn’s community commitment.
“We are proud of the agreements for Gennaker. They offer long-lasting benefits for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern," stated Skyborn CEO Patrick Lammers. EEW SPC will produce monopiles near the Gennaker site, supporting local employment. Transition pieces will be made in China and completed in Denmark. The project aims for completion in 2028, becoming the largest offshore wind installation in the German Baltic Sea.
