SMT Corp Obtains New DLA Accreditations for Microelectronics Testing
On January 5, 2026, SMT Corp, a leader in electronic component services, announced new accreditations from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) for MIL-STD-883 and QTSL microelectronics testing. Located in Sandy Hook, Connecticut, the company has achieved commercial laboratory suitability, enabling them to perform a comprehensive series of tests as per military and QTSL standards.
The successful DLA audit, conducted in mid-2025, allows SMT Corp to engage in diverse testing methods. These include environmental and mechanical tests such as temperature cycling, burn-in, and die shear tests, as well as electrical assessments under extreme temperatures from -55°C to 125°C.
Richard Hodgson, SMT Corp's President and CEO, emphasized these accreditations as pivotal for supporting defense and aerospace sectors, highlighting the importance of supply chain integrity. This development reaffirms SMT's commitment to quality and technical excellence.
