SMX and REDWAVE Transform Plastic Recycling

SMX (NASDAQ:SMX) alongside its partner, BT-Systems' Competence Center REDWAVE, demonstrated a breakthrough in plastic recycling, in front of the National Flame Retardant Association in Europe. This initiative promises improved sorting and certification of plastics previously considered challenging, such as food-grade, flame-retardant, and carbon black plastics. SMX's molecular markers and REDWAVE's detection systems enable effective recycling, providing safer and compliant materials for packaging companies and regulators.

Day two focused on flame-retardant and carbon black plastics, materials notoriously difficult to recycle. SMX's molecular traceability allowed real-time sorting and certification. This development enhances recycling potential and shifts these materials from waste to reusable resources. Sub-molecular markers embedded in plastics enable end-to-end lifecycle tracking via blockchain digital passports, ensuring traceability and credibility.

The Plastic Cycle Token (PCT) was introduced as a financial instrument. This token helps convert recycling achievements into tradable assets, offering companies financial benefits. SMX's demonstrations with institutions like A*STAR and NAFRA underline their authority in reshaping global recycling standards.
