EPC Group signs a major contract with the Sabodala gold mine in Senegal
EPC Group, a leading player in civil explosives and mining services, announced that its subsidiary EPC Mineex Senegal has secured a contract to supply explosives to the Sabodala mine, owned by Endeavour. This five-year contract, valued at approximately €10 million per year, will see EPC provide an integrated service covering the entire mining value chain, producing nearly 45,000 tonnes of explosives.
The services will include production, operation of the emulsion plant, inventory management, and execution of blasting operations. The contract introduces innovations such as specialized equipment for underground operations, a first in Senegal. EPC is also committed to maximizing local content through the construction of an on-site emulsion plant, among other initiatives.
This initiative confirms EPC as a strategic partner for mining operators in Africa, expanding its activities in West Africa with a focus on local content and innovation.
