Société Générale continues its share buyback program
Société Générale has reached 45% of its €1.5 billion share buyback program. This program, announced on July 30, 2026, began on August 3, 2026. From August 24 to 28, the bank acquired more than 2.5 million shares, at an average price of €73.8819 per share.
The transactions were conducted primarily on several European markets, including XPAR and CEUX. This share buyback aims to cancel up to 10% of the share capital within a 24-month legal framework. Société Générale is thus committed to maximizing shareholder value by reducing the total number of shares outstanding.
Société Générale, one of the leading banking institutions in Europe, is thus affirming its sustainable development strategy and its desire to maximize value creation for its stakeholders.
