Sofatutor Expands Internationally with SchoolMouv Acquisition

EMERAM's portfolio company, sofatutor, has acquired French learning platform SchoolMouv, advancing its international growth strategy. This move marks sofatutor's first major market addition in France, broadening its scope from a German-speaking market leader to a European EdTech entity.

Founded in Berlin in 2008, sofatutor offers over 7,000 learning videos and 200,000 interactive exercises, catering to more than 2 million users. SchoolMouv, established in 2013 in Toulouse, specializes in French curriculum-aligned online learning. It will continue its operations independently post-acquisition.

The acquisition promises synergies in marketing, content, and technology, leveraging sofatutor's digital education expertise. EMERAM sees it as a strategic move to address challenges like teacher shortages and increased digitization in Europe's K-12 market.
