Solitario Reports Initial Drill Results at Golden Crest
On September 2, 2026, Solitario Resources Corp. presented assay results for the first three core holes at the Ponderosa area of its Golden Crest project in South Dakota. The drilling commenced in mid-May and concluded by late July, covering ten holes across 2,949 meters. Results indicated low-level gold mineralization in the initial three holes, particularly within Paleozoic limestones. Notably, Hole PD-007 intersected 1.3 meters with a gold grade of 1.37 gpt in older Precambrian rocks.
To enhance future drill targeting, the company conducted drone magnetic surveys over the Golden Crest property. These surveys uncovered potential Tertiary-aged intrusive rocks in specific target areas, offering new insights for exploration. Meanwhile, Solitario redirected resources to its Cat Creek project in Colorado, focusing on molybdenum and rhenium exploration.
