Southern Energy Corp. Reports Stable Q2 2026 Results

On August 25, 2026, Southern Energy Corp. shared its financial results for the second quarter. The company, focusing on natural gas and light oil in Mississippi, recorded $4.2 million in sales, a 4% rise from Q2 2025, attributed to increased oil production and favorable prices.

Despite a sales increase, production dropped by 7% due to a transportation issue affecting two fields. Realized natural gas prices fell to $3.15 per Mcf, whereas oil prices surged to $99.32 per barrel.

Although adjustments in funds flow from operations increased by 15% to $0.7 million, the net loss remained unchanged at $0.4 million. Notably, the company recently began drilling a new test well in the Williamsburg Field.

Key plans include resolving the transportation dispute, which has halted some production, and completing development projects in Gwinville.
