Southern Energy Corp. Reports Successful Completion at Williamsburg

Southern Energy Corp. announced the completion and successful initial flow test of the Terrible Creek 21-2 #2 Cotton Valley vertical well in the Williamsburg Field, Mississippi. The well, with a gross interval thickness of 110 feet, showed promising results by producing a stabilized rate of 2.3 MMcf/d of natural gas plus 50 barrels of condensate daily. The company plans to start production by mid-November 2026 and is preparing fluid phase tests to confirm reservoir characteristics.

The Cotton Valley interval at Williamsburg has the potential to support over 45 drilling locations, using 160-acre spacing, enhanced by the company's ownership of infrastructure that eliminates third-party costs. Future development is expected to provide substantial capital returns. The company is in the process of obtaining approvals for two additional potential drilling locations, with plans to commence drilling in early Q1 2027.
