Sparton Resources Acquires Option for Morrison Silver Mine
Sparton Resources Inc. has secured a three-year option to acquire the Morrison Silver Mine near Gowganda, Ontario. The site, which produced over 750,000 ounces of silver between 1912 and 1955, may hold further potential with renewed exploration efforts. Sparton will conduct annual exploration activities and payments, with the option to acquire a full interest in the site.
Sparton President A. Lee Barker highlighted the value of revisiting properties from the early 1900s Cobalt and Gowganda silver boom. Increased silver prices enhance the economic feasibility of exploring previously unmined areas at Morrison. Plans include potential joint ventures to mitigate exploration costs.
Additionally, Jamal Amin has been elected to Sparton's Board of Directors. Amin's extensive background in geological sciences and capital markets is expected to bolster the company’s strategic initiatives.
