Star Copper Corp. Commences Drill Pad Construction in British Columbia
Star Copper Corp. has begun constructing drill pads at its flagship Star Project in northwestern British Columbia. This step is preparation for a substantial 15,000-metre exploration program slated for 2026. The drill pads are being set up across high-priority targets such as Star North, Star East, Star West, and Copper Creek. This initiative aims at exploring the district-scale potential of the project.
CEO Darryl Jones highlighted the importance of expedited construction to facilitate a systematic drill strategy. This will allow the company to evaluate targets exhibiting characteristics of Star Main-style mineralization, enhancing their ability to act on real-time results and evaluate a potential district-scale discovery.
The 2026 initiative is entirely funded, backed by over $12 million in financing. The company's targeted sites were strategically selected using geophysical, geochemical, and geological data. The construction at Copper Creek is the most advanced, marking the early onset of drilling aimed at confirming historical mineralization.
