Star Copper Extends Drilling at Copper Creek Following Positive Findings
Star Copper Corp. has extended its initial follow-up drill hole at Copper Creek in British Columbia beyond the planned depth. The decision was made after encountering promising mineralized systems, including alteration and sulphide mineralization below the target depth. This action supports the company's confidence in the property's potential for a significant copper-gold system.
The drill hole intersected targeted geophysical features and continued to reveal mineralized host rocks, prompting further exploration. The team's observations led them to deepen the hole, aligning with the company's exploration model. Several observed chalcopyrite zones were associated with potassic alteration and brecciation, reinforcing Copper Creek as a key exploration target.
Future plans include additional drilling and surveys to refine targeting within the Star Project. Historically, Copper Creek was explored in the 1970s, showing promising copper mineralization, which contemporary efforts are building upon. Star Copper aims to enhance understanding and prioritize further drilling in the district.
