Start-up of Green Electricity Production Units in Angres
La Française de l'Énergie (FDE) has activated two green electricity production units in Angres, marking the start of the Mines Gas project for 18 sites transferred by the French government. The goal is to double low-carbon electricity production capacity within three years. On May 20, 2026, a Prefectural Decree authorized the operation, guaranteeing a smooth deployment.
These units benefit from a 15-year contract with EDF at €80 per MWh. They will supply 3,500 homes and reduce CO2 emissions by 720,000 tons per year. FDE has increased its capacity with 16 new units, targeting an additional €18 million in revenue per year. The Jenbacher Type 4 model, optimized for efficiency and reliability, ensures sustainable production.
