Sterling Metals Expands Porphyry Copper System at Soo Copper Project

Sterling Metals Corp. reported new assay results from its 2025 drilling program at the Soo Copper Project near Batchewana Bay, Ontario. The results expand a continuous zone of porphyry copper mineralization. Highlights include intercepts from MEPS-25-11 and MEPS-25-12 showing wide and high-grade copper consistent with earlier discoveries. MEPS-25-12 intersected 300.5m at 0.4% Copper Equivalent (CuEq) from 131.6m depth. MEPS-25-11 revealed 279.5m at 0.31% CuEq.

The results define a higher-grade bornite core within a copper-mineralized 400m × 400m area, still open to further exploration. Expansion included MEPS-25-01, extending the mineralization footprint by 300m south. With assays pending from 12 additional holes, the upcoming resource development and 2026 drilling plans are expected to progress significantly.

CEO Mathew Wilson highlighted the scale of this porphyry system. Ongoing drilling reveals potential for high-grade zones, bolstered by 117 new samples exceeding 1.0% Cu. Sterling Metals aims to advance its understanding of the system with upcoming explorations, focusing on emerging copper resources.
