Sterling Metals Expands High-Grade Copper Zone at Soo Copper Project
Sterling Metals Corp. has reported promising results from its 2025 drilling program at the Soo Copper Project near Batchewana Bay, Ontario. The company revealed significant copper mineralization, including a notable 235.5m section at 0.5% CuEq in drillhole MEPS-25-20. This drill hole identified a new bornite-covellite zone, emphasizing the project’s potential.
Sterling's results indicate that high-grade intervals, particularly at the northwest part of the MEPS Discovery area, are expanding. Notably, MEPS-25-22 uncovered robust copper and bornite mineralization, suggesting a stronger copper system at depth. Furthermore, a newly discovered Cu-Mo mineralized porphyry stock supports the existence of a substantial porphyry complex underlying the project.
Sterling's exploration will now target this complex, with an additional drill rig set to mobilize in June 2026, aiming to extend their discoveries across the 8km regional copper corridor.
