Steyr Motors Affirms Growth Strategy Amidst Project Delays
Steyr Motors AG reported a stable revenue of EUR 22.8 million for the first half of 2026, despite facing delays in defense projects. These delays, caused by public procurement and approval processes, have deferred the recognition of approximately EUR 10 million in revenue. Nonetheless, the company remains committed to its growth strategy, reflected in its robust order backlog of EUR 310 million through 2030.
The civil sector showed progress, with revenue increasing to EUR 13.4 million. To further bolster its long-term strategy, Steyr Motors acquired Danish marine engine manufacturer BUKH A/S. The company adjusted its 2026 outlook, forecasting revenue growth between 15% and 25% and an EBIT margin between 8% and 12%.
Despite current challenges, Steyr Motors projects significant growth opportunities in defense, marine, and mobile energy sectors, supported by a solid pipeline of projects extending into 2027 and beyond.
