Steyr Motors AG Proposes New Supervisory Board Members at AGM
Steyr Motors AG has announced plans to appoint new members to its Supervisory Board during the upcoming Annual General Meeting on April 10, 2026. As one of the leaders in customized engines for defense and civil applications, Steyr Motors is proposing Rolf Wirtz and Gerhard Schwartz as the new members. This decision follows the sale of shares by former major shareholder Mutares SE & Co. KGaA and the exit of previous board members Dr. Christian Klingler and Fabian Schlegel.
Rolf Wirtz, with extensive experience in the defense sector and former CEO of TKMS, is expected to become the Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Gerhard Schwartz, known on the Austrian capital market, is slated to head the audit committee. Additionally, Alexander Fitzka of the B&C Group is proposed for re-election.
This strategic move aims to bolster Steyr Motors' expansion in both military and civil markets, leveraging the expertise of the proposed board members to drive growth and enhance financial oversight.
