STMicroelectronics innovates with an advanced MEMS sensor for industrial IoT

STMicroelectronics has announced the launch of the ISM6HG256X sensor, an innovative MEMS device designed to meet the needs of industrial IoT applications. This sensor offers a dual acceleration measurement range, from low (±16 g) to high (±256 g), enabling precise detection of movements and events, even in challenging environments. Its embedded artificial intelligence technology ensures autonomous and energy-efficient processing.

Integrated into a compact package, the ISM6HG256X combines a high-performance accelerometer and gyroscope. This simplifies systems by eliminating the need for multiple sensors. This product specifically targets the asset tracking, worker safety, robotics, and industrial automation markets.

The device is already available through STMicroelectronics' eStore, reinforcing its position in the MEMS and smart sensor sector for industry. It also comes with tools such as the X-NUCLEO-IKS5A1 expansion board, facilitating the development of integrated solutions.
