Strategic Metals Unveils Potential at Harry Project in Yukon
Strategic Metals Ltd. has announced promising results from its 2026 exploration at the Harry Project, situated near Tagish, Yukon. The project's highlight includes the identification of eight stacked skarn horizons within 325 meters of stratigraphy. These skarns are aligned parallel to foliation and showcase a tungsten-tin-molybdenum geochemical signature, intensifying towards a suspected porphyry center beneath a robust molybdenum soil anomaly.
Historically, exploration at Harry focused on high-grade gold within the Pennycook Shear Zone. Recent geochemical analyses reveal that these skarn horizons contain garnet, diopside, and epidote, intersected by dykes. The presence of elements such as copper, bismouth, and tellurium aligns with skarn system zoning patterns, indicating a potential hidden intrusion nearby.
The geochemical signature draws a parallel to the Surprise Lake plutonic suite, known for hosting the Ruby Creek molybdenum deposit, reinforcing the potential for buried intrusion-related mineralization. Strategic Metals continues to rely on support from the Yukon Mineral Exploration Program for advancing their exploration initiatives.
