Strategic Metals Ltd. Sets Sights on High-Potential CD Copper-Gold Porphyry in Yukon

Strategic Metals Ltd. has outlined significant geological findings from its CD Project within the Dawson Range Gold Belt in southwestern Yukon. The company reveals the presence of a robust porphyry system underpinned by a strong geochemical anomaly of gold and copper. This anomaly corresponds with a magnetic high, further flanked by chargeability highs, defining notable drill targets.

The geochemical data includes highly anomalous gold (up to 1,270 ppb) and copper (up to 1,485 ppm) in soil, concentrated in an area spread over 1,200 m by 400 m. This finding complements the magnetic and induced polarization geophysical data, illustrating a robust magnetic high in the eastern part of the anomaly. These characteristics affirm the presence of chargeable sulphide minerals typical around a porphyry core, which has been relatively underexplored since the 1970s.

Company Vice President Exploration, Jack Morton, compared the geological signatures at the CD site to those at the nearby Alotta Project, emphasizing the similar size and tenor of the geochemical and geophysical anomalies. According to Morton, the Maloney Zone at the CD site is among the top untested porphyry targets in the region. Strategic Metals is fully permitted and plans to commence a large-scale drill program to explore these promising indicators further.
