Strategic partnership between Taranis and Rougier Afrique International

On February 5, 2025, Taranis, an investment company of the Perenco group, announced the acquisition of a 35% minority stake in Rougier Afrique International. This agreement with the Caisse des Dépôts du Gabon, signed on January 28, is still awaiting approval from the relevant authorities. Rougier SA, a major player in sustainable African wood, sees this development as support for its eco-responsible commitments.

The two companies are leveraging their complementary expertise to promote a sustainable transition in the Congo Basin. Rougier, with its 100 years of experience, is a pioneer in sustainable forest management, while Taranis brings its technological know-how, particularly in the circular carbon economy and nature-based solutions.

Through this partnership, Rougier and Taranis aim to combine economic, environmental and social performance. Their goal is to strengthen the energy and environmental resilience of their projects, while reducing the carbon footprint. This collaboration aspires to sustainable and inclusive growth in the Congo Basin region.
