GameSquare Holdings' subsidiary, Stream Hatchet, has published its Q1 2026 Live Streaming Trends Report. This report highlights the evolving dynamics of the live streaming market, with a notable inclusion of TikTok Live data. The total viewership reached an impressive 17 billion hours watched this quarter.
According to Justin Kenna, CEO of GameSquare, the integration of TikTok Live data offers a broader perspective on audience engagement. TikTok Live accounted for nearly half of the viewership. Despite this, excluding TikTok, there was a marginal growth of 0.2% from Q4 2025.
Key events such as the Kings League World Cup Nations and Sony's State of Play attracted millions of viewers. In the gaming sector, World of Warcraft saw a surge with its Midnight expansion, while Fortnite's influence waned.
