Dujiangyan Village Candy Fair Celebrates Heritage and Culture

The 2026 Dujiangyan Village Candy Fair commenced on New Year's Eve in Dujiangyan, Sichuan, home to an ancient irrigation system. The event featured a lantern show inspired by Li Bing, who built this historical system, creating an engaging night experience.

Following the lantern show, Guanxian Ancient Town hosts a bazaar until January 3, presenting local beverages, delicacies, and geographic indication products like kiwifruit. The event includes cultural heritage displays and goods from Sichuan.

Activities include an urban orienteering event with routes highlighting ancient and local flavors. Cultural interactions such as heritage demonstrations and specialty product exhibitions enrich the visitor's experience.
