Swiss Steel Group Earns Gold Medal from EcoVadis for Sustainability

Swiss Steel Group, a major producer of special long steel, has received a gold medal from EcoVadis, a leading sustainability assessment platform for global supply chains. This accolade marks an improvement from last year's silver medal, highlighting the company's dedication to eco-friendly production and social responsibility.

Ranked among the top 5% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis globally, Swiss Steel Group is also in the top 2% within the iron and steel sector. The company is focused on sustainability, producing exclusively with electric arc furnaces that significantly reduce carbon emissions. Their Green Steel initiative provides a carbon-reduced alternative to various industries, enhancing the value chain's ecological footprint.

The gold medal is seen by CEO Frank Koch as validation of the company's role in advancing sustainable steel production. Future sustainability assessments will be conducted at the group level, enabling better management across production sites.
