Tata Communications Enhances India-Singapore Digital Connectivity
Tata Communications announces strategic investments to bolster the digital corridor between India and Singapore. The company is acquiring significant fiber capacity in subsea cable infrastructure, connecting the tech hubs of Mumbai and Chennai in India with Singapore's cloud and AI ecosystem. This investment addresses the escalating bandwidth demands and aims to enhance enterprise connectivity across Asia and beyond.
The initiative includes a new subsea cable system linking Mumbai and Singapore, and a consortium-backed cable between Chennai and Singapore scheduled for service in late 2029. This corridor is expected to become a critical pathway for digital traffic, supporting enterprise and cloud activities.
The enhanced capacity aims to offer high-performance connectivity solutions, benefiting over 100 data centers and extending reach through Tata's expansive network. This aligns with Tata Communications’ strategic vision of scaling digital infrastructure on a global level.
