TCMA Marks One Year of Progress in Thailand's First Low-Carbon City Initiative
The Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) celebrated the one-year anniversary of the "SARABURI SANDBOX," Thailand's pioneering low-carbon city project. In collaboration with Saraburi Province, the initiative focuses on clean energy, green industry, and carbon value creation, backed by international partnerships.
Spearheaded by the Governor of Saraburi, the project emphasizes cooperative efforts across government, private, and civil sectors. Notable progress has been made in areas like waste-to-value conversion and green space expansion, aiming for a reduction of 5 million tons of CO2 by 2027.
The TCMA, representing key cement manufacturers, has significantly contributed by optimizing production processes and promoting hydraulic cement. Further collaboration with global organizations is anticipated to support ongoing energy transition efforts.
