Team PRONC Joins 2027 UIM E1 World Championship
Nigerian-founded Team PRONC is set to join the 2027 UIM E1 World Championship, the first all-electric raceboat competition in the world. The announcement was made during the E1 Monaco 2026 race, held at the prestigious Yacht Club de Monaco.
Team PRONC aims to highlight Nigerian energy, ambition, and cultural influence on an international platform. The founders include prominent Nigerian entrepreneurs like Cecil Hammond and Richie Shittu, who plan to merge technology, sustainability, and sport.
This endeavor aims to represent African innovation and excellence while creating opportunities. E1 races take place in iconic coastal locations worldwide, including Lagos and Miami. The championship also promotes gender equality, requiring male and female pilots for each team.
Team PRONC aspires to forge a globally recognized brand crossing sports, entertainment, and hospitality sectors, thus contributing to African influence internationally.
