Technip Energies Secures Major LNG Contract from QatarEnergy
Technip Energies, along with its joint venture partners Consolidated Contractors Company and Gulf Asia Contracting, has been awarded a significant Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning contract from QatarEnergy. This project involves the onshore LNG facilities for the North Field West (NFW) development, featuring two mega trains capable of producing 8 million tons per annum each.
The NFW project, a follow-up to the successful North Field South and North Field East projects, aims to enhance Qatar's LNG export capacity significantly, boosting it from 77 to 142 million tons annually. Additionally, the project will integrate carbon capture and sequestration measures to reduce emissions.
Technip Energies' long-standing presence in Qatar, dating back to 1986, underscores the strategic importance of this collaboration. The company's CEO, Arnaud Pieton, emphasized the reinforcement of the partnership, highlighting shared values and the global demand for LNG.
