TEMSA Expands Electric Bus Presence in Lithuania
TEMSA, a Turkish automotive manufacturer, has delivered 15 MD9 electriCITY electric buses to Lithuania. This marks a significant step in its expansion across Europe. TEMSA plans further deliveries throughout 2026, which will increase its fleet in Lithuania to 321 units. The ceremony in Kaunas saw attendance from European Commission officials and municipal leaders.
The buses will serve under UAB Kautra, a long-time partner, aiding Lithuania's aim to foster zero-emission public transport. TEMSA CEO Evren Güzel emphasized the company's dedication to addressing diverse market needs and strengthening its role as a mobility partner. Highlighting this, Lithuania's electric buses comprised 52% of new registrations in 2025.
TEMSA's efforts in electrification are reflected in its market growth across other European countries such as Portugal, Czechia, and Finland. The MD9 electriCITY, known for its efficiency and eco-friendliness, remains a prime choice for urban transport solutions. The company's investments in infrastructure and technology continue to reinforce its market position and commitment to sustainable solutions.
