The Brognon Rollin duo wins the 2026 Marcel Duchamp Prize
On October 22, 2026, the artist duo Brognon Rollin were awarded the Marcel Duchamp Prize, an announcement made by Claude Bonnin, president of ADIAF, at the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris. Their conceptual work, focused on the concept of abstinence materialized by sobriety tokens, establishes a strong link with Marcel Duchamp's legacy by placing human experience at the heart of creation.
The event took place during Paris Art Week, which was disrupted by the early closure of Art Basel Paris for security reasons. The Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris hosted the ceremony, contributing to the international reach of French art during the renovation of the Centre Pompidou.
Brognon Rollin, represented by the mfc-michèle didier gallery, explores themes such as waiting and confinement through complex installations, incorporating everyday objects to reveal intimate struggles. With this prize, ADIAF and Artprice recognize an artistic approach rich in humanity.
