The Great Bay Area attracts European innovators via Hong Kong
A European innovation and technology (I&T) hackathon, co-organized by Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE) and the EuroTech Federation, recently took place. This event allowed European talent to discover opportunities in the Greater Bay Area (GBA), reinforcing Hong Kong's position as a regional gateway. Approximately 1,200 applicants from over 25 countries participated, with 250 finalists and 20 winners visiting Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou.
During this visit, participants explored technology hubs such as Cyberport and the Hong Kong Science Park, discovering the dynamic innovation ecosystem. They had the opportunity to meet potential partners and develop their strategic vision. The program aims to transform these visits into lasting commitments for global innovators.
