Thyssenkrupp Nucera Adjusts Financial Outlook Following SOEC Realignment

Thyssenkrupp Nucera AG & Co. KGaA has decided to halt its plans for mass production of Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cells (SOEC) stacks. This strategic decision comes after a comprehensive review addressing market readiness and economic forecasts. Consequently, a negative EBIT impact of approximately €30 million will be recognized in fiscal year 2025/26, primarily affecting the Green Hydrogen segment due to impairments on the pilot plant and development costs.

For fiscal year 2025/26, Nucera revises its EBIT guidance to a range between €-155 million and €-135 million, previously set at €-125 million to €-90 million. Sales expectations for the Green Hydrogen segment are adjusted downward to €100 million - €130 million. The Chlor-Alkali segment remains unchanged, maintaining an EBIT of €45 million to €65 million.

At Group level, Nucera refines its sales guidance to €450 million - €500 million, reflecting a narrower outlook compared to earlier expectations. Order intake for fiscal year 2025/26 is estimated between €550 million and €670 million.
