Thyssenkrupp Nucera has commissioned a significant Chlor-Alkali plant for Kutch Chemical Industries Limited in Gujarat, India. The new facility boasts an annual production capacity of 220,000 metric tons of caustic soda (NaOH), marking it as one of the largest single-train plants in India. This project employs the advanced BM Generation 6+ technology, acclaimed for its efficiency and reliability.
Kutch Chemical, a key player in India's chemical industry, will utilize the caustic soda and chlorine produced for its operations while supplying the domestic market. Thyssenkrupp Nucera provided comprehensive engineering and technology solutions for the plant, which includes five high-capacity electrolyzers, each capable of producing up to 135 metric tons of NaOH daily.
The collaboration between Kutch Chemical and Thyssenkrupp Nucera began in 2017, illustrating a strong partnership. The successful commissioning of this plant is poised to support Kutch Chemical’s growth, further reinforcing its market presence in India.
