Thyssenkrupp Nucera Secures 300 MW Hydrogen Project in Spain

Thyssenkrupp Nucera AG & Co. KGaA has been commissioned by Spanish energy firm Moeve to provide 300 MW electrolyzers for a hydrogen plant in Andalusia. Estimated in the low three-digit million-euro range, the order will be recorded in the second half of fiscal 2025/26. Impact on sales for 2025/26 is projected to be minimal, with the majority reflected in 2026/27.

The project, "Onuba," is Southern Europe's largest of its kind, marking the first phase of the "Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley." With a production capacity of 45,000 tons of green hydrogen annually, it targets a reduction of CO2 emissions by 250,000 tons each year. Adjusting its fiscal outlook, Thyssenkrupp Nucera forecasts an order intake of €550 to €850 million for 2025/26.

This adjustment considers both the Spanish hydrogen project and a chlor-alkali plant contract in the Middle East, marked in the second quarter of 2025/26.
