TotalEnergies' financial performance in the first quarter of 2025

TotalEnergies has released its preliminary results for the first quarter of 2025. The €/$ exchange rate stood at 1.05, and the price of Brent crude stood at $75.7 per barrel. Hydrocarbon production increased, at the upper end of the expected range, with growth of 4% compared to 2024.
Exploration & Production's results benefited from this growth and a more favorable pricing environment. Liquefied natural gas (LNG) prices were slightly lower than in the last quarter of 2024. Refining & Chemicals operations recorded slightly improved refining margins, although petrochemical margins were under pressure in Europe. Working capital requirements increased, despite a seasonal trend.
