TUI AG Reports Strong Q2 Performance amid Challenges
TUI AG reported an improvement in its Q2 underlying EBIT by €18.5 million, reaching -€188.3 million at constant currency. This positive outcome stems from strategic changes within the Markets + Airline division and strong cruise demand, despite the impact of €45 million in one-off costs due to the Iran war.
Q2 group revenue remained stable at €3.7 billion, reflecting a robust demand across all segments. Notably, the Hotels & Resorts segment saw a 4.8% increase in revenue. Cruise operations, though affected by the Iran war, recorded improved underlying performance with strong UK and German demand.
Customer volumes grew by 2% to 5.6 million, supporting the group's positive outlook. TUI's strategic transformation efforts and increased cruise capacity continue to drive operational resilience, despite geopolitical uncertainties and environmental challenges.
