Ur-Energy Announces CFO Retirement and Successor Appointment
Ur-Energy Inc., the leading domestic ISR uranium producer in the U.S., has announced the retirement of its Chief Financial Officer, Roger Smith, effective December 1, 2026. Smith has had a distinguished 45-year career in mining finance, significantly contributing to Ur-Energy's growth and operations in Wyoming. He led finance and administration teams for almost two decades, playing a key role in initiatives such as the launch of the Shirley Basin mine's full operations.
Jade Walle, the current Vice President of Finance, will succeed Smith. Walle, a Certified Public Accountant, joined Ur-Energy in 2025, bringing 30 years of experience, including roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. His expertise in capital markets and accounting standards positions him well to lead Ur-Energy's financial strategy amid its ongoing growth ambitions.
