Ur-Energy Completes First Uranium Shipment from Shirley Basin

Ur-Energy Inc., a leading U.S. uranium producer, has announced the inaugural shipment of uranium from its Shirley Basin mine in Wyoming to the Lost Creek processing plant. This marks the full commencement of operations at Shirley Basin, which transitioned from construction to production in a mere two and a half years, exemplifying the company's operational efficiency.

The Shirley Basin mine, Ur-Energy's second ISR site, now joins the Lost Creek hub, enhancing Ur-Energy's domestic production capabilities. The licensed capacity at Shirley Basin allows for a significant increase in uranium output, and has received full operational authorization from Wyoming's Department of Environmental Quality.

As part of Ur-Energy's strategic hub-and-spoke model, the Shirley Basin acts as a satellite to Lost Creek, optimizing infrastructure costs and ensuring cost-effective growth. This first shipment is a crucial step towards increasing production to full commercial levels.
