Ur-Energy Shareholders Approve Key Resolutions at Annual Meeting
Ur-Energy Inc., a domestic uranium producer, conducted its Annual General and Special Meeting of Shareholders on June 4, 2026. The meeting saw participation from shareholders representing approximately 70.84% of the company's issued shares. All nominees listed in the management proxy circular were elected as directors. Notably, John W. Cash secured 98.14% of votes in favor of his directorship.
The shareholders reappointed BDO USA, P.C. as the independent auditor and empowered the directors to set their remuneration. The "say on pay" vote, concerning executive compensation, passed with 97.63% approval. Additionally, a majority (98.20%) voted for annual advisory votes on executive compensation, a practice the board will continue until 2032. The renewal of the Stock Option Plan was also approved, receiving 55.27% of the votes.
