Vallourec, a leader in premium seamless tubular solutions, has been awarded a contract by Allseas for Brazil's Atapu 2 offshore project. This agreement involves supplying 143 km of carbon steel seamless line pipes and thermal insulation coatings, amounting to roughly 19,000 tons of bare line pipe.

The Atapu 2 project, operated by Petrobras, focuses on a site in the Santos Basin, 230 km from Rio de Janeiro, at depths between 2,000m and 2,350m. The production system will include 18 wells connected to a Floating Production Storage and Offloading unit via rigid risers.

Production of the line pipes will occur at Vallourec’s Jeceaba mill, while the coatings will be conducted in Serra. Vallourec's CEO, Philippe Guillemot, highlighted the contract as demonstrating the company's strategy to offer integrated solutions for challenging environments.
