Veolia Employee Shareholding Reaches Record Participation
Veolia's latest employee shareholding initiative, Sequoia 2026, has seen record participation, with more than 88,000 employees subscribing across 56 countries. This marks the highest subscription rate in the company's history at over 48%. The initiative reinforces Veolia's strategy of engaging its workforce in the company's development and value creation.
Through Sequoia 2026, employees have become the largest shareholders, holding over 9.8% of the company’s share capital. This engagement aligns with the company's GreenUp 24-27 strategic plan, which focuses on enhancing environmental security across various sectors.
The initiative resulted in the issuance of over 11.5 million shares, with Veolia neutralizing the dilutive effect by canceling an equivalent amount of treasury shares. Consequently, the overall share capital remains unchanged at approximately €3.7 billion.
