Veolia Signs Strategic Agreements in Saudi Arabia
Veolia has announced the signing of three strategic memorandums of understanding with major Saudi Arabian industrial players: Acwa, Ma’aden, and Khazeen. These agreements focus on enhancing water technologies and hazardous waste management in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
The partnership with Acwa aims to improve seawater desalination plant performance through optimized chemical use and energy efficiency. The expected emissions reduction could reach 500,000 tons of CO₂ annually.
With Ma’aden, Veolia will optimize water cycle management and explore waste reduction possibilities in the mining sector. The collaboration with Khazeen focuses on decarbonizing LPG storage infrastructures using Veolia's environmental technologies.
