Veolia strengthens its presence in India with innovative projects in Mumbai
Veolia, a world leader in environmental services, is expanding its presence in India with two major contracts in Mumbai. These 15-year contracts cover the operation and maintenance of the city's largest drinking water production plants, Bhandup and Panjrapur.
The projects, with a combined capacity of 2.91 million cubic meters per day, mark a first for a French company in the Indian municipal water sector. Thanks to advanced technologies, these facilities meet 60% of Mumbai's water needs.
Veolia plans to double its revenue in India by 2030, driven by strong growth in the water, hazardous waste, and energy sectors. The company is committed to supporting India's ambitions to achieve carbon neutrality by 2070.
