Viridien's Credit Rating Upgraded by S&P
Viridien's long-term credit rating was elevated to "B" by Standard & Poor’s, marking an improvement from the previous "B-" rating. This upgrade reflects the company's steady operational success. In conjunction, the rating for Viridien's senior secured notes increased from "B" to "B+".
S&P acknowledged Viridien's stable performance in a volatile market, facilitated by the closure of the expensive Shearwater contract in 2025 and a focus on cost efficiency and valuable projects.
Previously, Moody's confirmed Viridien’s rating at “B2”, underscoring its robust business model and strategic relevance. Similarly, Fitch reiterated its “B” rating in December, pointing to Viridien's enhanced financial and operational standing.
CFO Jérôme Serve noted that the upgrade validates the firm's financial strategies, including balance sheet improvements and disciplined capital management to bolster shareholder value.
