FamiCord AG Secures New Client for CDMO Activities
FamiCord AG, a prominent European cell bank, has announced a significant manufacturing agreement with VERIGRAFT AB for a Phase II/III trial. The contract, worth low single-digit millions of euros, involves FamiCord's "Bramble Bio" division facilitating the GMP manufacturing process for personalized tissue-engineered veins (P-TEV) at their Warsaw facility. This collaboration is expected to last around 18 months, with a potential for extension.
The agreement marks FamiCord's involvement in a pivotal clinical program TECVI-2, which is designed to evaluate P-TEV's efficacy in treating chronic venous insufficiency. The trial aims to secure future marketing authorizations in Europe and the U.S., commencing by Q1 2027. Initial authorization has been granted in Spain, with approvals in Poland and the Netherlands expected shortly.
Bramble Bio's GMP site in Poland will manage technology transfers and other related activities to support the international clinical trial. The partnership enhances FamiCord's portfolio in late-stage clinical collaborations and highlights the company's expertise in advanced cellular medicine and CDMO activities.
