Waga Energy and Cape May join forces for biomethane in New Jersey
Waga Energy and Cape May County are partnering to establish a biomethane production unit in New Jersey. The Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority (CMCMUA) has selected WAGABOX® technology, developed by Waga Energy, to utilize waste gas. The facility, located between Woodbine and Upper Township, will produce approximately 60 GWh of biomethane annually, preventing 15,800 tons of CO₂ emissions. This 20-year project will reduce reliance on fossil fuels and provide local renewable energy. CMCMUA and Waga Energy are committed to sustainable waste management for a positive environmental impact.
